How do you read an analogue watch?

The shorter hand shows the hour; if it is between two numbers, read the hour it has already passed. The longer hand shows the minutes. Count five minutes for each hour marker from 12: 1 means 5 minutes, 2 means 10, and 12 means 00. Smaller marks, where present, show individual minutes. For example, an hour hand between 3 and 4 with the minute hand on 6 means 3:30. The different hand lengths make them easier to distinguish. The same method applies to Jowissa watches with Roman numerals or simple hour markers.
